EBay madness

An iffy model of a rather early prototype, but 1826 would seem a bit too early.

Not least because construction of the L&B was only started at the end of 1833.....

Bury took over on the L&B in 1836, and produced a similiar loco in 1846.

Like the landlord of a local pub who claimed it dated from 1827, but it wasn't there in the 1851 census.

If it's tender drive, why on earth does it have that huge and prominent weight(?) screwed to the boiler? Fair play to whoever built it for taking up the challenge of modelling the pioneering days but, really?

can't make this one out, could be a bargain if you get what's in picture 1 for the BIN price, or not if you get whats in picture 2, sometimes a decent description helps!!

It's collection only - Stockport. My ex next door neighbour would have loved those but he's now in West Wales.  Someone who lives nearby might do well bidding on those.

I have bought from this trader several times and he is top class, trouble is now he is starting to know the value of items and describing them better, which pushes up the final value. Whilst he may make the odd mistake over details like the one illustrated, seems to have found some interesting models along with this one.

I would have no problems buying from him again

A nice bit of keyword spamming here.  He's got 7 of these which look like Hachette jobs.  I've always thought they would scrub up nicely, but for 25 quid a pop and with the description, he won't be seeing any of my hard earned.

C1 speed restriction signs?  I know very little indeed about railways and had to ask here what the C1s and C3s meant, but still...
