Only for the serious collector, and no picture either..

I'll take two......

This is our friend who has been trying to sell these loads of old rubbish for 3 years for £49 each or more along with complete ones, when the dustbin would be the only fit place for them!

The alarming thing is that he probably means that price.

That has got to be a typing error with that sort of price tag, if not he’s taking the mick! :O

Maybe i should put the two i have up on ebay :O

Also found these ones he's selling at no where near that price!

If that's not a price typo, maybe he has it in the wrong scale and it should be "12inch to the foot" which would make some sort of sense of the price

More like 24" to the foot.

That's a lot of scrap metal!!!!!!!!!!!

I've sent him an ebay question asking if the price is serious. In fairness, his next most expensive item is only £2500, and that isn't in 4mm - he has nothing over 3 figures in 4mm, in fact. Is there a Guiness Book etc record for amount paid for a factory production 4mm model? If he gets this price he'd be worth an entry!

Yee gawds....

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item27b9fb9789

Reminds me of some of the weathered crap that the infamous Aldo1080 used to offer!!!

Good grief. Uncomfortably reminiscent of the Taunton tragedy. What do these people think they are achieving?

Can't you read?

this has been heavily weathered for my father by his Model shop owning friend. VERY NICE / REALISTIC LOOKING JOB I AM TOLD.

Clearly, neither of you know what you're talking about!

This has been listed and relisted several times, apparently as a protest because the seller didn't read the 'Not Gatwick Express' routing instruction and had to pay full sngle fare on Gatwick Express. For some reason he/she blames everyone except themselves for their own inability to read.

What do you make of this?;

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...=item1e62aabc7d

I'm just not sure...

It reminds me of the Ebay scammer who featured on an episode of Judge Judy after sending a photograph of a mobile phone to the winner of one auction for a phone.

As only 10% of the final amount actually in this auction goes to charity, this is a plain scammer trying to cover themselves with a veneer of respectability by hiding behind a pitiful donation to charity.

See post 1315 which explains what it is about. The story appeared when the item was first listed and the listing was cancelled after someone(Probably one of the railway companies concerned)complained. It has been relisted in its current form every free listing day since.

Just reread post # 1315.

Well what has that got to do with EBay.

Just sounds like the mans? a muppet.

He/she is determined to tell the world that he/she cannot read. E-bay is just the 'vehicle' he/she is using. Anyone who wasn't a muppet would use faceache or twatter.

IIRC it's a staggering £35,000* for a tatty pre-war Märklin LMS compound body (no works!) and tender. Strictly H0 not 00, but scale is arbitary in this case.

There's a complete one here

* This is the figure I recall but I can only find this one (faulty memory ????).. (Ridiculous amont for old tat anyway!)
