RMweb Gold RFS Posted February 18, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 18, 2015 Describing the Schools as a 220 is using European notation (axles not wheels). The French Nord pacific will be a 231, for example.

Ruffnut Thorston
The items under the "TRAINSET" include the following masterful description....... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Train/291381013533?_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29317%26meid%3Da43208a53a7647c9b8d60141a89e986e%26pid%3D100009%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D261778836389 Possibly Jouef? I wonder why the seller has bothered with a "reserve"? Why not just list it at that price....it doesn't cost any more these days, with the 20 "Free" listings a month thing! jivebunny
It's a Jouef 141R, you can just about make out the old Jouef logo on the underside. Worth about £25 in good boxed condition. JB Edit: I am of course referring to the old model, which this is. The new one fetches about £250, which is why you'll never see me modelling in French HO. The listing does say "HASNT BEEN OUT OF BOX SINCE I PURCHASED IT" Could be that it was renumbered and weathered by a previous owner, and not the seller. Horsetan
?...I wonder why the seller has bothered with a "reserve"? Why not just list it at that price....it doesn't cost any more these days, with the 20 "Free" listings a month thing! Maybe the seller doesn't really want to part with it. The minimum for a "reserve" is fifty quid, which is what some of the other sellers are asking anyway, including Gosturde. Some are asking for far more..... leopardml2341
You can find out who weathered it, Its been done so well you can make out finger prints in the dirt ! Clearly it's not 'professionally' weathered then?

RMweb Gold 30801 Posted February 20, 2015 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 20, 2015 Cash only, no Paypal, against ebay rules, so reported. If I have to pay fees, so should everyone else! Hmm. Refusing PayPal for collection-only items is a really good idea. You receive your payment via PayPal, buyer picks up the item and takes it home. Later the buyer raises a PayPal claim saying he hasn't received the item. PayPal ask you to prove the buyer received the item. You have no proof. PayPal refund the buyer with your money. N15class
Cash only, no Paypal, against ebay rules, so reported. If I have to pay fees, so should everyone else! So if I have to pay a million pounds to the government in tax. You will too? Cash on collection is far better. Both are happy custom does not pay if item is wrong. You get money if all is good. Nobody is avoiding fees as COD is the only way ebay recommend using cash.
