H.Avana I visited a cigar factory in Cuba last year I can assure you nobody would want thigh rolled cigars from that factory if you had seen what I saw. RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted August 10, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 10, 2018 According to a survey in today's paper Plymouth is ranked 4th overall for being the stingiest city in the UK. Bristol are 5th. I thought West Country people were the most generous of folk myself.

I blame the Cornish tendencies that seem to be proliferating lately.

RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted August 10, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 10, 2018 Can ya lend me a tenner please ? I may be able to loan you 10p for about five minutes, provided you sign to say that you've had the money and that you will leave some surety with me in case you default, such as the deeds to your house or an LT Red 7mm Dapol pannier.
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted August 10, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 10, 2018 Haven't we all. Certainly not, I have strode out of there in righteous indignation at the fact that no one was prepared to enter into an erudite discourse on the subject of Art with me.
RMweb Gold Captain Kernow Posted August 10, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 10, 2018 I don’t think he should hold a kitten like that, it looks a bit cruel. That's no kitten. It's a pair of veterinary gloves that he's going to use later, when he slaps Ethelred Finching about the face with them for insulting his painting of a badger. He will then call Finching out for a duel at dawn, high up on the Moor above Ivybridge.

RMweb Gold Popular Post gwrrob Posted August 11, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Popular Post Share Posted August 11, 2018 I've been wanting another Grange for a while to even out my Hall collection and an ebay purchase of one of the recent releases albeit in shirtbutton livery was made. I've had the 247 plates for some time, so 6813 Eastbury Grange was born. 6813 was at Newton for quite a long period and I have several photos of her, mainly later, but the Churchward tender is correct for '47. As usual James has done a superb job. More anon.
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted August 11, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 11, 2018 (edited) Was it resprayed as well as weathered? Looking very good! Edited August 11, 2018 by The Fatadder
RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted August 11, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 11, 2018 Was it resprayed as well as weathered? Looking very good! No but the Hornby green is deeper on these than others, a couple of coats of varnish to seal the new transfers before weathering.
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted August 11, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 11, 2018 Ahh that explains it, my green Grange is waiting (along with my 2800s and 7200) for a coat of something that actually looks like GW green.
