Definitely. Far too fussy a livery for the 37 with all those grills. Blue paint, black roof and a silver ROG logo would've sufficed.

It amazes me that 37099 is still going strong. I remember riding behind it on a railtour in Cornwall early in 1985; nearly 38 years ago and it was already over twenty years old then 🙄

Remembering BR blue WR 37s in pairs on stone trains at Bletchley in the 1970s, seeing a bright orange one is a bit of a shock! However at least they still on the main line.

HNRS 37405 passes Uttoxeter on the 0730 Barrow Hill to Crewe working on Thursday 1 December 2022
