  1. I found the photo of the weather one at the TMC stand.
  2. Sorry for the poor photo quality but this made me drool at the Bachmann stand, such a lovely looking engine. Funnily enough I couldn't find one for sale at model rail Scotland apart from the weathered ones at the TMC stand.
  3. Seen these carriages at model rail Scotland and I have to say I really like the look of them, especially the connections between the two carriages.
  4. This may not be new to anyone but I thought I would share it anyway.
  5. Here's a quick wee photo I grabbed of the warwell on Oxford Rail's stand. I like the look of it and my dad took particular fancy to it.
  6. Seen at Model Rail Scotland today and I instantly fell in love with it.
  7. Very nicely done, especially the grills on the side.
  8. The Bachmann model to me actually looks really good, the numbers actually look as if they stand out, look at the 3 and 9.
  9. I have now started to see that John Lweis ads and Tesco adverts are now showing up!
  10. Didn't know John Lewis is a model railway shop ?

  12. Hello Northroader, I appreciate the help and advice, but to be honest, the simplest way I can see it, is to just remove the flanges on the centre wheel and lift the axle slightly. It does look a little unsightly and the wheel may not rotate all the time but it does allow me to run it over point work and round 3rd radius curves no problem at all. Thanks, Nelson
  13. That has to be the worst website ever for adverts, three times I had to refresh the page haha. Finally managed to watch the vid tho and that is really interesting to see from the drivers point of view, so thank you.
  14. Hello everyone, I thought I would just share my latest project that I started a few weekends ago, it's a BCDR brake van of 1800's design. This came about just from a sudden urge of modelling which meant I had to make my own W irons, which is good because it allowed me to practise more with my piercing saw and soldering iron. I have also made a start on the sides last night. I have no idea when this will be finished as it is just ticking over in the background, but that doesn't bother me as I do like to take my time haha. The chassis as it is, is already fairly heavy but I will still be adding weights onto the inside later on. I have no idea what livery to paint this in once it's finished because they did see action with the UTA, albeit for a short time. But I'm thinking a BCDR livery would be a nice contrast. Thanks, Nelson
  15. Hello Mikkel, I love the recent updates and your experimentation with the tarpaulins, very interesting to read. However can I please ask where you got the planked plasticard from? It looks like good clean scoring with a decent thickness.
  16. Warwells to the left of me, warwells to the right, here I am, stuck in the middle with you!

  17. Hello Castle, Me and my father have always wanted to visit this wonderful place. However can I just ask how much does the tour cost and do you know where the nearest airport is with options to either use a taxi or public transport to get to the centre? Thanks in advance, Nelson
  18. I am extremely saddened to find out that Mainly Trains has stopped trading. I have used them a number of times and with always good service. However may I add that whatever the reason for the shops closure, may the owner have a safe and relaxing retirement.
  19. I wonder if any more info has been released about this, I cannot find anything online.
  20. Anyone know where I can find the photo of a layout in the back of a Morris minor? Thanks

Probably not the first time something's been "laid out" in the back of a Morris Minor.

For "probably" please read "definitely" . . . . and that's my last word on the subject!

  21. Darn! The sentinel and USA tank bundle is very tempting!

  22. Hello John, Do you have a Gmail, YouTube or similar account? If not, then I wouldn't worry about the texts as said above, someone has probably entered the wrong number. If you do have a google account then I would check the settings and see the latest activity on your account. Google often sends these codes so that you can reset some settings and passwords. Hope this helps, Nelson
  23. Plenty of work going on there, well done. Happy New Year to you.
  24. Love the mix of rolling stock present within one area, have a Happy New Year!
  25. I really enjoyed watching that, pity I couldn't relate to the music tho, must be my age haha. Many tanks for sharing and have a Happy New Year!
