This does bring some closure, there is still one person missing at the site at Bosley and they haven't found him yet.

I hope that you can eventually find closure after this. Your loved ones are surely at peace now.

  2. I had a few minutes last night and primed the main chassis, top deck and the bogies in a light grey colour. I am now waiting for the buffers and wheels to arrive as they were ordered today from Wizards models. I'm going to paint it up in a 1980's scheme with BR yellow. I think a second order might be on the books as this kit is so relaxing to do and it's coming together very easily. Mathew
  3. Evening, For the past few weeks I've been trying to keep myself busy with modelling as family matters have been in the news all for the wrong reasons, and with that I have been trying out a kit I found on-line for a OO Gauge Plasser & Theurer 12t Rail Crane Kit. I have never heard of this kit before and although it is expensive, it is well worth it, as you can see from the pictures enclosed this kit is fully detailed, fully illustrated throughout and unique. I even bought a Bachmann class 37 for it and will be finding some suitable wagons to haul behind it. If you go to his website you will see the other crane kits and wagon loads he does and the prices of the kits, if you do order a ready built and painted kit, do bear in mind that there may be a 6 month wait! http://www.makeyourmarkmodels.com Anyway here are pictures of the kit The kit can via registered mail. Well wrapped. Fully detailed Instructions. The Bogies. The 59 resin components to make the crane. The kit does need wheels and he recommends 12mm Romford or Gibson pin point wheels, and Oleo Buffers long 16 inch dia head available from Wizard models REF ABWC 026. Transfers for the kit are available on his website. I should start the kit later this week after I have primed the kit and done some research into which crane I want to replicate. Mathew
  4. Evening, After hearing all the banter on facebook about the is it or isn't it on it, I though I'd go for it anyway it will either be a grid or a tug and so 60076 Colas Rail Freight showed up at Crewe Station on 6S96 Sinfin Sidings to Grangemouth Ineos empty Aviation fuel tanks. This is the second one that I've managed to photograph the other being 60087 at IEMD. Bonus Colas 37 on Network Rail test train on LNWR Depot. Mathew
  5. Here's a few I've caught on camera in the past 2 weeks that might be of interest. 66131 EWS passes through Sandbach station on 4o21 Trafford Park Euro Term to Soton W Docks Berth 109 (21-09-15) 66144 and 66177 at a foggy Crewe station with 0R11 Belmont Down Yard to Crewe Basford Hall S.S.M. (19-09-15) 66538 passes through Sandbach station 4029 Trafford Park F.L.T. to Southampton M.C.T. (21-09-15) 66772 GBRf at Winsford 6G57 1500 Liverpool Bulk Terminal to Ironbridge Power Station (13-09-15) 66719 and 66772 passing through Crewe on 0Z19 0918 Tuebrook Sidings to Doncaster Robert Road Shed (18-09-15) 66079 EWS passing Crewe on 6K32 Arpley Sidings to Stoke Marcroft Engineering (18-09-15) Mathew
  6. Evening all, Wife made me go out today as I was getting under her feet so I spent an hour at Crewe station and looking on RTT, I saw that the 6S96 Sinfin Sidings to Grangemouth Ineos empty tanks wasn't running, so I was just about to go home when a last check saw that it was 57 minutes late leaving, so I waited for it. It been one of those working I've wanted to photo but always missed it or it's not run. Today it was 56302 on the Sinfin Sdgs to Grangemouth Ineos tanks and the last time I saw this was when it was working for Fastline. Mathew
  7. Wow, After looking at Soundtraxx website, it looks like i'll be ordering a decoder very soon. As you said. youtube was a good source of information. Next job will be to give it a light weathering. Mathew
  8. Evening all, I've just bought a new ES44AC in Union Pacific from Athearn Genesis which didn't have sound and have been running it for about 2 weeks and now I really want to add sound to it. What options do I go for as I think I made the mistake in not buying the ES44AC with sound. I don't mind buying from the states and importing over but if I can buy from over here in the UK then that will be a lot better. Thanks Mathew
  9. Just returned from Cornwall and a trip into Camborne was in order and £200 less, I'm well happy with the staff there, They all know what they are talking about and are up-to-date on latest releases. The only thing I must complain about was the radio was tuned to Radio 3 and I never listen to that station (I'm a radio 2 man) Ken Bruce Pop master you know! Mathew
  10. One body recovered from the Bosley Explosion yesterday. Unable to I.D. it so the wait continues.

  13. I went to Crewe coal yard hoping that Colas had swapped the 60 over to a different loco but alas not to be so here is 60087 Clic Sargent 6C37 Chirk Kronospan to Carlisle Yard. Mathew
  14. Evening all, 66622, 66601, 66604, 66614 and 66623 on 0K99 Hope (Earles Sidings) Fhh to Crewe Basford Hall S.S.M. light loco movement working through Sandbach station. Mathew Better pictures of each loco in this convoy on my flickr page - https://www.flickr.com/photos/ews60002/
  15. A rake of 7 sounds ok although you can mix the rake with BYA's, BDA's, SPA's, just make sure the BCA are at the front due to the weight of the wagons. Mathew
  16. I made a rake of 8 BCA wagons with the cradles and they are a B&%$£r to do, I did strip the wagon down to it's components parts as you have done and cut out what was needed then added the cradles. I found using rocket glue was a lot better than solder for the cradles. The best thing about the wagon when you have finished then is when you have say 8 in a line and they are behind a 60 on a layout it looks so good and very pleasing at the same time. I ran mine behind a Colas 56 with 12 BYA's and the 8 BCA's. Just remember not to stop the train suddenly as the weight of 8 said wagons can and does cause them to de-rail as I found out a few times. Mathew
  17. A set of 3 run most day at 5pm past crewe heading south although on Friday I saw 90018 with a set of 3 heading south which was very nice. Sometimes a set has it's blue sidelights on. (What does that actually mean?)
  18. Hi Mick. Here something long and yellow for you I took a picture of yesterday at Crewe, 6Y15 Lancaster to Crewe Bas Hall S.S.M. https://www.flickr.com/photos/ews60002/ Mathew
  19. Hello, I've purchased one of your kits from DEMU on Saturday and am so glad I did, What a kit. I've been waiting to get my hands on one for months. Anyway next question, I'm eager to get started on ordering the bits I need to complete the kit. Where is the best place to get the Buffers, Wheels (14MM plain disc), Mashima 10x24 Motor and Brachline 38:1 gearbox. Regards Mathew
  20. Here's a couple from yesterday in Burton-on-Trent 60024 on 6E41 Westerleigh Murco to Lindsey Oil Refinery. Mathew

Correct. What if it has to go through a tunnel or run during periods of poor visibilty, for example.
