RMweb Gold Accurascale Fran Posted December 15, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 15, 2023 Hi everyone, Our last outing for 2023 will be another Accurascale Take-Over of Making Tracks! We will be there (including my good self!) for the day so if you are about on the day, come by and say hi and chat all things Accurascale. It would be a pleasure to see you! And yes, we will have a small but rather important and poignant announcement, and something you can help us with! We will reveal it on the day, and of course have all the news for you here on RMWeb and across our social media channels and website too. We look forward to seeing you there! Cheers! RMweb Gold big jim Posted December 15, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 15, 2023 I’m trying to work out which building is big enough in blakemere to house the layout? I’ll have to pop down for a look as I’m only 20 mins away, won’t do it at the weekend given the Santas grotto being on etc, I think the miniature railway runs at the weekend though for those who do visit as an added attraction

stewartingram
Well it does state an "outdoor centre", so it probably is outside on the field, with umbrellas on standby just in case!
e30ftw
i believe its in a modern barn type building, its big enough to host the layout, iv been to a wedding there. Class 89?? Edited December 15, 2023 by e30ftw

Fred Rich
I think you might spot a revealing Easter egg in the video Accurascale released today on their YouTube channel. It’s around the 1.25 mark (appropriately). RIP my wallet if I’m right 🙀

RMweb Gold jonnyuk Posted December 17, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 17, 2023 Nothing wrong with Hornby’s. We go on about duplication and in some cases prototypes need a refresh, the hst is not one of them.

Yes, the slapdash treatment around the cab fronts with the droopy orange cantrail stripe gives it away. The livery on the real thing doesn’t follow the lines of the locomotive too closely, but Hornby have done it a lot worse! We seem to be losing the knack of painting horizontal lines on HST power cars these days!
