Hi everyone,

Our last outing for 2023 will be another Accurascale Take-Over of Making Tracks!

mt3takeovercopy.jpg.0933d053a5ad204bafbeabfa6e60f2d0.jpg

We will be there (including my good self!) for the day so if you are about on the day, come by and say hi and chat all things Accurascale. It would be a pleasure to see you!

And yes, we will have a small but rather important and poignant announcement, and something you can help us with! We will reveal it on the day, and of course have all the news for you here on RMWeb and across our social media channels and website too.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Cheers!

I’m trying to work out which building is big enough in blakemere to house the layout?

I’ll have to pop down for a look as I’m only 20 mins away, won’t do it at the weekend given the Santas grotto being on etc, I think the miniature railway runs at the weekend though for those who do visit as an added attraction

I think you might spot a revealing Easter egg in the video Accurascale released today on their YouTube channel. It’s around the 1.25 mark (appropriately). RIP my wallet if I’m right 🙀

What are we supposed to be looking at?

I can see an 805 and a steam loco of some sort (tornado?)

Unfortunately I think that is the Hornby RailAdventure HST.

I’m not sure. Here’s a side by side comparison

Both those models are Hornby I would say, judging by the same poor application of the cab front/side window dark grey.

Yes, the slapdash treatment around the cab fronts with the droopy orange cantrail stripe gives it away. The livery on the real thing doesn’t follow the lines of the locomotive too closely, but Hornby have done it a lot worse! We seem to be losing the knack of painting horizontal lines on HST power cars these days!

Now, now!  You can't expect the announcement they make at the show before the show!

Accurascale are not like government ministers, whose speech to the House is leaked beforehand by the BBC
