Class 37, by Accurascale

Hi everyone,

Thought I'd get in with this query before the excitement over the Green Class 37's takes hold.

I've been struggling with the bufferbeam pipework on my 37043. After looking at some of the excellent examples on here plus prototype pictures I've got the following:

Hopefully this is correct so far. I'm thinking item one below goes in the hole to the right of the coupling hook. Is this correct as it doesn't seem to fit very well? The hole doesn't seem deep enough and the moulded hose coming off the top doesn't sit well with the other pipework.

Also, do I need to be fitting items two-four anywhere? I've no idea what they are.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I think you’re right with no1 but not 100% sure. Item 2 I believe is for the holes where the centre plough is if you don’t install the central plough. 3 I suspect is a lifeguard but prob best left off with the ploughs installed. 4 I have no idea.

Typically, I’ve tidied up all my boxes with the literature and moved them into the garage, and I can’t find the diagram to download but I believe 1 is the steam heat pipe and it should go into the spare hole under the red air brake pipe to the right pf the coupling. 2 is a blanking plug for the snowplough mountings if you don’t wish to add the central plough, 3 is a guard iron for the front of the bogie frame, not needed with snowploughs. I never worked out what item 4 was.

Item 4 goes across the top of the front of the bogie once you have removed the tension lock coupling.

I went from the panic of: oh no, have I ordered more of the same without realising, through to the hopeful: maybe my two Class 37s are en route and the wrong orders have been quoted, only to be told it's PayPal re-issuing old emails.  No associated payment activity on my PayPal account...

Same here, obviously an admin error.

We pushed tracking updates to Paypal for those who paid that way, and PayPal decided to send emails telling everyone they had a parcel a month ago - apologies, safe to ignore ;)

Has the site been hacked? Similar issues here 9 emails so far

Interesting thought. I paid for something last week and got a notification at 23:40 a few days ago from my bank that someone had tried to spend just under 4k on my credit card. The Bank has stopped the payment and i was on the phone to them for about an hour. Maybe just a coincidence but i had just paid a company for some motorbike parts via Paypal then this happened.
Nigeria and Ghana is where the originator was from. God knows how that happened. They are clever .

sorry for 'off topic' but the watchword here is keep an eye out for scammers and where you enter your card details.

I generally find PayPal very reliable - the only problems I've had is when purchasing off Amazon.

The 'developing world' are fantastic at creating markets which perhaps shouldn't exist, and presumably they don't have the controls limiting such activities which we do over here.

I hope you didn't lose your funds and all is available for more lovely locomotives.

Still waiting on news of the new Accurascale Parallel Scots and Class 40's .... just a little dig .... 😄

As a proud owner of 37043 I was tempted by 37602 watching the stock diminish what should I do. Its an expensive time of the year what with Xmas and the wife's birthday.

My wife said to me that she didn't know what to get me for Xmas I asked her for a price range. So I suggested 37602. She immediately agreed. Woo hoo another accurascale 37 finds a loving home.

I knew she was the right woman for me...😂
