There were no etched numberplates with the review model.

I have tested the HM7000 decoder and it will not fit unless the backhead in the cab is modified.

Darn - well, here is to hoping that the next generation of the decoders offer a suitable decrease in size to allow for the ease of fitting in a wider array of models

thank you for checking

Good question, though their absence on a test model which has passed between so many hands may not truly answer the question.

Further to Jenny's answer, I can confirm there are no etched plates included. I've examined a number of these this morning and none have plates.

That's correct, no etched plates in this production run. I believe a third party supplier may have been looking into doing them, though.

Yes,  but the third party supplier does not do all numbers in the class.  I have had to do a quick change of my order from 1504 to 1500 as this supplier doesnt do 1504.

247 Developments do 1504 @GeoffBird

looking at the above review, the tyres/wheel rims still seem rather thin. I know this was flagged up last year and was supposed to be corrected. Will this be correct on the final production samples now being delivered?

if something like this is the worst thing we can find then i think we're in for a treat with this model

Would it be rude to imagine this fabulous looking model in 7mm scale...?

(Sorry. Honest!)

All that gesticulating valve gear would be even more apparant!

I'm a bit torn on this one. I really, really don't need one in OO, but I could just about, with the wind behind me and running steeply downhill, possibly justify one in P4 (provided no one was looking too closely)...

Are you still working to a 2 month lead time from order to delivery ?

In fact, 247 do the entire class so no reason why these cannot be sourced from them.

More reliable and less stressful than using that Scottish supplier.

Am I right to assume the prototype had cast iron painted plates rather than polished brass,  these being postwar shunters?

Brass for BR era.

I remember the subject came up before. Possibly in the 94XX thread.
