Perhaps he was a professional house painter, and did it all with a six-inch brush.

thane of fife

And I found when he had gone he'd painted over the gas tap and I couldn't turn it on! :jester:

(sorry couldn't resist!)

It appears well done (for a change!), but what is this current mania for scrap items littering up the layout? It's not as though most of us have any spare space (or money come to that) to waste.

Apparently not! Wish I had that sort of money.

It's Not Unusual

Hat and coat on.........

Where's that Groan button

BTW 'You can Leave Your Coat On', not sure about the hat!

###### Cat.

Edited to add.

Oh dear, we can't have that furry pet, starting with 'P' & ending in 'y'. Pansy?

This Duchess seems to have had some trans-gender reorientation.  All this talk of Kings from here there and everywhere has sent her all of a tizz.

It's one thing to create a derelict loco from a non runner or a model that has sustained some sort of catastrophic body damage - but you have to question why somebody would want to do this a a really decent model in full working condition!

Each to their own I suppose  but this does seem rather a waste!

Here's a lovely Bachmann 47, given a subtle weathering to depict everyday use on the BR network......

:O Why do it? :scratchhead:

I think people see some of the locos on the RHTT trains eg.  this https://www.flickr.com/photos/46341292@N05/5210121256/ and think that everything in the past ran round in the same condition.

I've been through all of my photos from the 80's and 90's and haven't one in that condition the nearest you get is the shunters and perhaps class 20's where the wash doesn't hit the sides. This is the worst I can find in my collection of over 500 photos https://www.flickr.com/photos/northbriton/10540198163/ and even then the 47's either side are relatively clean.
