Meanwhile, back at the Bay - Gostudes at it as usual

If that is the true value of that loco then I got one hell of a bargain at Model Rail Scotland

Hey Gostude - this one cost me £75 :D

I'm only surprised he hasn't described it as "kitbuilt".

Buyers never learn ?

Here’s another one for sale.. £165.. 14 bidders... they do know this exact model is being re-run...?

Unless of course, this is yours and your cashing in.. in which case kudos to you !

I actually acquired the 33/1 in Green a few months back, really pleased at £100, even if Heljan are to now re-run it, as it came fitted with P4 wheels, with the OO originals in the box... I’ve no need for P4 wheels so when I finally get round to selling them ,it puts me into the safe price category..or maybe I should sell the loco too at these prices and buy a new one when it comes out/pocket the difference.

"You don't see too many of these around with these modifications in this livery."  You certainly don't, not many people stick tape to the side of a loco!

Depends how much it sells for to determine true madness.....

Off to check the Network Rail abominations listings....

Cheers,

mick

Above all a matt finish one! Still you do get a spare front coupling link stuck to the firebox (which shows the magnet is still OK at least) and she is in reasonable condition and not too expensive. (More than I'd pay, but Grifone is notoriously stingy careful with his money and has several already.)

I wish people would take pictures of both sides of the locomotive when they are selling it, instead of close up pictures of the box flap

Maybe the box end flap is more appealing than the other side? :jester:

I would be more likely to buy a Hornby 31 on eBay if I could see chassis and body shown separate and that’s never going to happen.

There’s one exactly that, though I don’t think you will want to buy it, unless you want to model Booths of Rotherham.

I do respect the fact he is showing all the bits separately and is refreshingly honest, but the price just made my eyes water. I suppose it sums up the lack of spares available from Hornby. I have seen West Country/Battle of Britain detail packs being sold on eBay for £15.00 !
