RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted September 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 7, 2017 Just trying to earn a crust in fancy dress, but what is in the little cylinder thingy just in front of the nameplate? Looks like an AWS reservoir. There's a 7mm version in the shop for £130. 5972.jpg Ideal for someone with a 7mm scale layout - do we know anybody with one of those? RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted September 7, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 7, 2017 Ideal for someone with a 7mm scale layout - do we know anybody with one of those? Nope, and anyway the loco release is too short for one of them. Won't accommodate diesels either...
RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted September 7, 2017 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 7, 2017 Nope, and anyway the loco release is too short for one of them. It's long enough for a Spam though, bloody double standards...

brianusa
Poor old Olton! Reminds one of a chimp in too small a cage; it looks just as sad and needs someone to let it out to run free! Brian.

It's almost Harry Potter, Platform 9 3/4ish, how somethings fit and others don't. Weird.
RMweb Gold 46444 Posted September 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 7, 2017 (edited) Have you got a copy of Bradford Barton's 'Great Western Steam in Devon' by Fairclough (1972)? I picked up a copy recently. Some very useful post war snaps and worth hunting a copy down not you've not seen it. Cheers Mark Edited September 7, 2017 by 46444
RMweb Premium Northroader Posted September 7, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 7, 2017 There's a 7mm version in the shop for £130. 5972.jpg These are made by Lionel, meaning that they're 3rail, and very coarse standard wheels, before anyone dashes off to Watford. RMweb Premium St Enodoc Posted September 7, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 7, 2017 Poor old Olton! Reminds one of a chimp in too small a cage; it looks just as sad and needs someone to let it out to run free! Brian. I remember seeing it when it was in the early stages of restoration, in a shed at Horbury Junction.
RMweb Gold The Fatadder Posted September 7, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 7, 2017 I did get a ride behind it, nice air conditioned seudo mk1 coach A Lao found this L&Y inspired narrow gauge Apperently according to the uk news I should be panicking about some strong winds, but all seems business as usual so far

RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted September 8, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 8, 2017 'course it will. One of they nice little Dapol 08's will fit anywhere. Nope, some sort of spacial vortex continuum thingy means that no diesels appear to fit in the loco release. Even my AC Railbus has to stay off that bit of track. Perhaps it's because I laid the chairs in a 666 pattern. 6 left, 6 right etc.
RMweb Gold 81C Posted September 8, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 8, 2017 Looks like an AWS reservoir. Ideal for someone with a 7mm scale layout - do we know anybody with one of those? It would look good on Spam's layout with a few Harry Potter characters and a Hogwarts back scene.
