RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted October 7, 2016 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 7, 2016 Seen on Farcebook from Dapol, not sure whether I want one of these yet. 14457414_1529592697066542_18417950074136497_n.jpeg Interesting - and yet to appear on the Dapol Digest. I still have one or two reservations about these so want a good look before passing any sort of judgement plus the tail lamp issue is not entirely clear although I understand they will be removable/addonable and not permanently fixed while the BR 'cream' looks positively yellow. Did any actually get west of Taunton (or Castle Cary more likely) in real life?
chrisf
Only in a parallel universe, I suspect. If the new line from St Germans to Looe had been completed prior to WW2 it would have been worked with railcars but apart from that I understand that there were no booked workings south west of Yatton. cary hill
I can see one on the early morning "Avonwick Flyer" unadvertised Workmen's train but only if Dapol can perfect their Bird's Custard livery............oh dear.....
RMweb Premium M.I.B Posted October 7, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 7, 2016 Cor - I go away for two days to visit the dusty North, and meanwhile Brent is suddenly in 1957! Looks like you are in need of one of these: No idea what I am going to do with this on my late 40s W London Urban, but I did enjoy finishing it.

The Great Bear
Rob, I am really taken by the last batch of shots, the platform level views: my kind of pictures, placing one there. Shows what a great additon to the layout the signals and footbridge have been to complete the scene. Well done Jon

However if the tide is wrong and there is no wind, go and walk the old Billy Line and then have a nice Ice Cream down the prom at Southsea; I used to quite like Southsea front. W.
