Bonus points for a circus-related pun for the big top in the old football ground car park! Morello Cherry
Elephants on trains. One for the 'are you sure this is a good idea' file. https://www.faz.net/aktuell/gesellschaft/tiere/wuppertal-1950-sprang-elefant-tuffi-aus-der-schwebebahn-13714026.html Long story short, to publicize the circus they took the elephant for a ride, the worst that happened was that it ate a houseplant and wee'd on the carpet. They did it again with more people in the gondola. The elephant panicked and smashed through the side of the gondola and fell into the river (survived due to landing in a muddy patch). Rumours that the elephant later took up residence in a tunnel on an Island between the UK and the Isle of Man have not been confirmed. 2 1
