It's the junction at Abergwili, just north of Carmarthen on the line to Aberystwyth. The train has come from Aber, picking up milk tanks en-route. The formation on the right is the former Llanelly Railway (later L&NWR) to Llandeilo. 2

Original Caption says it’s the final train from Aberystwyth on 20.2.65 but Other sources suggest the through route had gone by then …. Trains from Carmarthen to Lampeter or Strata Florida only, bus from there to Aber following flood wash out at Llanilar. If so then it Makes the 2V headcode interesting as whilst Aber was LMR by that time IIRC the regional boundary was at Llanrhystud Road (Llanfarian) and everything south of there was WR. Struggled to get the geography of that junction but of course Llanelli is east of Carmarthen so the right hand fork makes total sense. Should have remembered that as have fished at Nantgerredig a few times with the track bed just up the road. 1

Popular Post Titan
I like Pullmans, but I model blue/grey so have been looking for an excuse to collect every version of the Mk1 Pullman in this livery, as well as some other more unusual blue/grey items. I would have loved to have run one with my Gresley Buffet on my pseudo Cambridge Buffet express/Excursion set but they would never have run together would they? Yes they would! 21

Modern day buses, both double and single deck, are developments of original horse drawn buses and trams

Ribble Motor Services had some vehicles classified as DP - dual purpose - so they could be used on longer distance coach or shorter stage service bus duty........ And in NBC days, they carried the coach livery on the upper half (white) and the bus livery of red on the lower half.
