Yo. Flown home at last from the beautiful town(s) of Malvern and wonderful countryside of West Worcestershire and much of Herefordshire.

Here be some pics from the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway on Saturday; good ones (first three) then they deteriorate rapidly.

Thoroughly great day with good company (most of the time......some of us just wandered off alone because we were seeking fodder of a certain style; I apologise for being antisocial). I really enjoyed my haulage behind the mighty MN and the Cute Manor and was somewhat taken aback by the basic Bog Cart that had seemed so smart and new back in 1958.

I thought I'd just tell you that I've found another LNER loco that I really rather like.

The latest 'Bylines' came through the letter box yesterday and inside was an article on the York shed shunter, an ex-NER Y8 0-4-0T.

How utterly dinky and cute.

I think I must have one for one of my outrageously improbable light railways.

So what is wrong with a GER Y5 or the chunky GER Y4???????

Now lets not have any more of this Geordie talk. :nono: :nono: :nono:

Be careful CK. LNER engines have a habit of nodding off at the drop of a hat.

A couple of wobbly pictures of this evening's sunset over Seaton Junction.

Not very good but probably less OT than most of the stuff on the last 500 pages of this thread!

It really was a stunning show - a pity I hadn't foreseen it & got the camera set up ready.

It was very similar down here last night, looking in the direction of parts foreign, framed by St Levens Road Viaduct.

Rear ended .....

You just can't trust elastic bands these days. They don't last more than a few minutes.

Poor old thingy; quite nice livery though.

Lovely. We have had such beautiful weather the last few days and it seems to have been almost countrywide for a change.

It was a good sunset at another famous place too, closely followed by the surprise performance of the season so far.
