I don't really see Sheepy as a colliery. More of an engineers really but one that has seen much better days.

Not a colliery per se, perhaps, but a colliery workshop?

That way you get to write 'NCB' on your Pecketts, which would be really cool.

Brilliant new project Rob.

Loads to whet the appetite.

Thoughts of Milkwall in the FoD and Dursley spring to mind for location. The works of Ben Ashworth providing the inspiration.

Look forwards to seeing Sheep Pen developing.

Cheers,

Mark

An engineering workshop, eh.  Fabrication/welding or casting?  I'd go for casting, a small specialist foundry on it's last legs, as you can have sand wagons delivering casting sand as well as indeterminate lumps under tarps and imaginary stuff in vans.  Occasional deliveries of steel bar or rod as well...

I'm getting all excited for you; time for a cold shower before going up the pub time!

What about a colliery workshop  (no need to model the pit head or the screens etc.), or perhaps a wagon repair shop? One of the features of the former Marcroft wagon repair shop at Radstock was the sheer variety of rolling stock in train formations.

What could your small engineering firm be making?

Small engines?

Sheep pens?

Dohickeys for dwile flanges?  Cord wanglers’s nurdlers?  Wossnims?

There could be all sorts under those tarps or in the vans.

Could be a distillery! There's a very acceptable Scotch called Sheep Dip. Sorry I can't add a link.

As I remember it - "Distilled for and on behalf of the inhabitants of Upton upon Severn" - Is that right?

Sorry. I have no idea what you are on about..........and please don't feel in any way compelled to explain. No really.

Kenneth Williams:

Joe he was a young Cord-Wangler, Munging Greebles did he go. And he loved a Bogler's daughter by the name of Chiswick Flo. Vain she was and like her Grusset, Oh her Gander Parts were fine. But she sneered at his Cord-Wangle as it hung upon the line. So he stole a Wogler's Moulie for to make a Wedding Ring. But the Bow Street Runners caught him and the Judge said "You will Swing". Oh they tied him by the Postern, Nailed his Moulie to the Fence! For to warn all young Cord-Wanglers that it was a grave offence. There's a moral to this story; Though your Cord Wangle be poor keep your hands off other's Moulies, For it is against the Law.

Thanks G. I must admit I have been thinking of trees for this one. They might not get done for Taunton but they are on the agenda.
