    Well... Payday on Wednesday! I'm off Thursday and SHMBO at work... I feel a trip to Preston and back with some DRS 37's may be part of the plan.....

    Many thanks. Interestingly, they seem to have had a big tidy up around the back at WCR! Likewise, some of the ex RES mk1's are now up for sale. Not sure how well patronised the loco hauled trains are yet, but I think I may have a trip to Barrow on one next week.... Kind regards Ian

    With proper trains running again..... From 1st May 2015, all at Carnforth 37423 arriving and then running around its train in the Down and Up goods loop And from today 37423 heads Northern Trains 2C32 05:15hrs Carlisle to Preston via Barrow-in-Furness with 37609 on the rear approaching Leighton Moss nr Carnforth

      But, just to make it worse, SHMBO told me that whilst I do this she will do the ironing! Now she informs me that I need to iron a uniform for work tomorrow, O and can you iron me one! I feel I've lost in every way today...

      I've got an appointment on Friday at my own dentist as luck would have it, and tomorrow is my first day back at work after 2 weeks hols. It's just a waiting game till Friday. But thanks for the idea Mallard60022

    It's been a funny old week! My dads friend died who we stayed with lots when I was a kid, my brother-in-laws dad has also passed away and my wife got recalled following her breast screening! On the up side she was given the all clear, thank god. I deal with death and bad news at work on a daily basis, and on my week off it has really hit home. It's a funny old world!!!
