      I'm struggling to get enough heat into the brass at the mo - these are big bits compared to a loco chassis.

    Went for a run, painted the floor, emptied the dishwasher and built a Parkside kit. Not bad for a saturday afternoon.

    Back from a couple of days in Switzerland via the Basel tennis tournament - saw Federer, Nadal, Gulbis etc ... and proper trains too, with engines on the front of them like in the olden days.

    Trying to make sense of the "instructions" for a "kit". Sub-literate, sub-grammatical, borderline comprehensible at best ... and steadfastly not telling us anything we couldn't have worked out for ourselves, yet at the same time not telling us crucial stuff! Grr!

    Grrr! The CD player that plays my dawn chorus CD is on the blink - it's only ever played that one CD and I doubt it's had more than ten hours of operation in three years. Grrr again!
