There is also a hard copy included with your Class 37 Booklet pack.

For some reason I thought the booklet was only for the sound decoder. but I presume the non-sound decoder is basically set up to operate the non-sound functions in the same way. That makes sense.

The same occurred with the class 92: Accurascale standardised the function keys between the sound and non-sound variants, it's just that pressing those functions that would have worked sounds will do nothing on the non-sound locos.

I have been remapping quite a few different sound decoders for locomotives from different manufacturers to help my memory a bit without having to consult the list sheets all the time. That's just a personal preference, but, as you  said, it makes sense, especially when dealing with the same type of locomotive.

Here at Blaenau Ffestiniog in happier days, June 2014 (courtesy of Jack Bowley). At least she’ll live on in model form. Regards, Rob

I think this is the merit of model railways--scrapped equipment can be remembered and have its new life in model form.

302-4 would maybe be better bets as they’ve had longer working lives

I agree, although there a couple of reasons why it was chosen;

1. To use Accurascale unique nose tooling, I believe the rest are normal centre headcode ends.

2. The other three I think have been subject to more attention from the other manufacturers. Bachmann have done 303 and 304 in their old tooling, VI have done 302 and 304. Hornby have done 302 as well but I think this is post Accurascales model and doesn't really compete with the VI or old Bachmann let alone the Accurascale.

I was hoping there would be announcement regarding a third batch, I know @class26 and others are climbing the walls awaiting for a Accurascale announcement for Inverness based Class 37’s, especially 37114 Dunrobin Castle, with it’s unique top of the bonnet headlight.

Personally I’m hoping for DRS 37069 or 37218 and 37716 in later compass livery, plus 37401 in large logo.

Just asking 😜

Once the run currently finishing production land we will launch the next run which will deliver within a year.

. After defending Accurascale on various forums (especially YouTube where people seem to try and make their titles sound as dramatic as possible) I now too have experienced motor failure on one of my 37s.

I know I go through Accurascale customer services but has anyone had to return one recently, and if so what was the turn around time like?

Current turnaround is about a week as there’s nothing in the queue ahead of you 👍

Hi, heard your announcement about 37702 with Hornby Magazine. Did you know that the loco carried black squares on the headlights were the split head code boxes used to be. Have attached a photo.  Fred

Class 37/7 37702-'Taff Merthyr' - Porter Street, Deepdale, Preston.

But not for long and probably not the best way to model it as it would limit the period that it would suit

The wagons behind it would benefit a retool too imo.

Well as I model East Anglia and here have my reworked 409 and 424, I would hope that 716 is among the next Batch. That would be a must! I spoke to Graham Hubbard at the Great Central yesterday and seeing the prototype of 714 (plus securing a model I have preordered) the model looks stunning! 😊
