There's a CSS that is out of date, a quick refresh makes it go away though. Not worth Andy's time investigating IMHO, hopefully the "proper" themes will be sorted out by the Ad techs now the weekend is over .......

Fully agree. A quick refresh and all is well.

If it was a solution than this thread wouldn't exist 🤣

Issues reported here affect equally all of us....  regardless of membership

But with premium the site was working much better without the ads, smoother downloads etc, well worth the money.

Last week something went wrong and we have a temporary fix.

Would I go back to saving 12 pounds? No chance.

Once again we appear to have someone wanting something for nothing whilst expecting others to pay for his "free" entertainment.  I give up!!

The implementation of the adverts will have added an extra cost to running the forum which also must be recouped.
I have decided not to sign up for premium, as after all the time, money and hair loss that has been invested in monetising the forum it is only fair that Warners see some return from it.

Increasingly it needs restarting,  but not worth investigating. Just hope the permanent fix doesn't take too long.

Perhaps the solution is for all users to contribute a fair share towards

the running costs of the forum, then there will be no need for adverts.

No payment - no access - simples  :)

No new members then as why buy something unless you know its suitable RMWeb would wither and die

You no doubt have no money troubles then.

Anyway, I'm guessing that most don't mind some ads but at the moment they're all over the place.

It was intended as a tongue in cheek comment - hence the attempt at a smiley

We may be getting towards this being resolved.

Could a Gold or Premium member please select the RMweb 2021 (Default) theme from the list and tell me what you do or don't see? (Ideally with a screenshot so I can see if you're seeing anything different from me) You should get 'trade' ads but not programmatic Google Ads for anything on-modelling.

With the temporary fix at least the user icons stayed the correct size and location...

All seems to be back to normal

Windows 10, Chrome,

No ads at all (but I run an ad blocker in the background even though I pay the Premium rate)

Side bar gone, photos back to full size, and threads/topics back across the full width of the screen.

Well done Andy!

Regards

Ian

Windows 10, PC, just the trade ad at the top, no other odd behaviour

Similar on my Xperia 10 IV, just the scroll to the top arrow is floating more to the middle of the screen, displaying over the main body of the page.

I'll try iPad tonight if needed :)

Swapped back to "2021 Default" for now to see how things go.  So far so good on the desktop Mac.

The emojis are still unavailable generating only a window full of blue-square ? symbols.  Somebody must be seeing them normally as some posts contain, for me, an bordered but empty square where the emoji would be.  Or are some of us clever enough to hit a random ? knowing it to be the one they want!  I doubt that.  As before emojis are not the deal-breaker; let's get the real problems sorted first.

I you position your cursor over the 'random ?' a bit of pop-up text tells you what it's supposed to be.  Some of us are just putting faith in that promise!
