New Announcement - The Accurascale Research Team in OO/4mm For Your Layout and COMPETITION TIME!

Today the local estate agent has commissioned the Accurascale Research Team to survey the local pub which is about to be put on the market.   Two of the team are hard at work in the beer garden while the third has found a vantage point on the roof of a platelayer's hut on the adjacent railway, from which to survey the upper level.   After completing the survey they will no doubt stay for a few refreshments.

Well I am building to a crescendo with my Accurafolk… although I dont have a cute detailed layout, so no chance of winning, I do intend to get them posed infront of two wishlist model items….before month end. (I have some pictures saved for the moment).

but until then, they travel along in my pocket…

yesterday at Marylebone, they posed with some Rawie buffer stops… I can only dream of the unit…

But unfortunately disaster… strong winds saw my measuring stick man fall over and his stick crumpled in my hand…. With the photographers leg gone, this truly has cost them an arm and a leg !!!

These passengers have absolutely no idea what is going on here.

You have my sympathies.  I had to lightly glue my photographer to get him to stand long enough for my beer garden scene.  When I tried to remove him one of his legs remained stuck to the baseboard.  So I glued him back on to his leg and fixed the other two in place to keep him company.   So my Accurascale Survey Team are now a permanent part of my beer garden scene and won't get to travel any more.😂

Hi,

That’s PROPER Space Oddessey 2001!

I know where that picture IS, but cannot fathom if our little friends are floating, the ship is floating or the pic has been very cleverly edited? Weirdly weird……..how DID they get up there?…..and the size is all wrong too?

I’d declare you the winner just based on how your picture provokes such curious idle thought!

Care to enlighten us please?

Thanks,

Kindest Regards,

Shed.

The picture is real but the little guys are imposed.

here is the original.

London St Pancras Intergalactic station.

That fighter is about 6-8ft long.

Subtly they positioned a very large plant pot on the ground for people to walk around.

i’m guessing thats a Health and Safety catch all, incase the ship decides to land.

its hanging by the KX station exit from StP, next to South Easterns entrance.

I'm sure this is cheating, but I'm equally sure it was early "research"...

Whilst it's against company policy to talk future plans, I can quietly share we're working on the 'DEMod Yahoo! Group - 20 Years On' commemorative pack to celebrate this scene. A world first in capturing every detail of two decades worth of weathering, decay, battle wounds and odd livery choices...

...and that's just the Accurafolk figures.

My accurafolk met the Mannekin Pis.

in something reminisce of a scene of Life of Brian, and the knights who say Ni  my standing measurer was blown over, and temporarily lost off these railings… I had to scrabble aroubd the floor to find him.. sadly in the drop he lost the remains of his stick !

I’m hoping the three have enough bits to actually pose in front of my wish list model on my layout before the end of the competition !

[The pictures may go out of sequence now as I have some i’m holding back, from other places that are more relevant later, so hands and legs may reappear !]
