The February 2023 Railway Modeller popped through my letterbox this morning and it contains a 3-page spread on the new items Hornby is announcing for 2023.

Has someone jumped the gun?

Cheers

Darius

Yes. 😆

......

If anyone blarts on here they'll get a 24 hour ban (at least).

I'm not blarting, but a quick Google will reveal at least one retailer has jumped the gun.  If you're the sort who minutely examines your Christmas presents to try and find out what's concealed under the wrapping, then that's your best bet!

So that's Hornby Magazine, by a country mile; Railway Modeller and 'a major retailer'  spilling the beans early. Plenty of advanced practise for my 'nothing in it for me' post ;-)

Fully tanked up with Senokot, prunes and a ride on Nemesis ready to go.

Pah, nemesis is tame these days (and one of them is closed for new track?).

If you want something to make you feel inside out, I can highly recommend Velocicoaster :D That'll take your mind off some measly leaked models!

I suspect Hornby's 2023 new OO stuff will be similar to Hornby's 2022 new stuff -  a lot of warmed up old stuff at high prices.

Or previously announced and yet to be delivered stuff from 2021/2 at warmed up prices...

With a sprinkling of new you'd hope. Come to think of it that's what every manufacturers range looks like (provided they're old enough to have made it out of nappies)

Roll up, roll up, for the Hornby announcement bingo card game:

  • That's definitely the wrong shade of green even though I'm looking at it on a computer

Or comparing it to a  faded black and white photo/ 70 + yearold memory

  • Nothing in it for me
  • Wallet breathes a sigh of relief
  • Why didn't they do this number instead of that number

  • They say it'll be out by Christmas but they don't say which Christmas, chortle!

#5 is painfully true!
