Bernard Lamb
Are those mint/boxed/unused cliffs?? Cheers, Mick Seems obvious to me. They must be Kit Built. ......and as they are painted they have to be CODE 3. Bernard

Pete 75C
Have you ever seen a cliff-face that looked like this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3D-backscene-cliff-face-backdrop-suits-00-n-Hornby-lima-Dapol-Bachmann-warhammer-/290945889729?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item43bdb9f5c1 My feeling is that cliffs weather slowly over the centuries, so all those sharp edges imply a newly exposed area. Agreed - it just doesn't look right. Bedded in and 10 minutes with a spray can and some dry brushing would probably make it look quite acceptable. I think it's the "look" that's wrong, nothing else. For someone moving up from a Hornby Track Mat and a shoebox tunnel, they'd probably be delighted to have something like that on their layout. We don't all have the time, skill etc to carve an exact replica of the Dawlish cliffs. Ten quid for something handmade, 16 inches long and 8 inches high doesn't sound too bad to me. We've all seen enough empty boxes on ebay with an asking price of a ton-plus. Having said that, I still reckon it will end without a bid! Pete. C&WR
OK it's a quarry rather than a cliff, but I saw that & it took me back 20 years to when I did a lot of rock climbing here: It's the Cheesewring Quarry in Cornwall, how granite can look when cut.

cromptonnut
Most definitely not looking for that... but I'd have thought it would have been a tank wagon rather than a cargowaggon? I actually have one of the limited edition Taunton Cider cargowaggons and wondered if there were any on Ebay - ok I think there was only one of the prototype decorated that way but rule 1 and all that... RMweb Gold RFS Posted July 16, 2013 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 16, 2013 Anyone got £15,000 to spend on a used layout? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LARGE-Stobart-00-gauge-and-n-gauge-train-layout-24ft-x-16ft-with-minic-motorway-/121144833266?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item1c34cb74f2 For this money you also get "a bag of nuts and bolts". ews60002
Ah, that famous manufacturer Bachamann. Mike. Perhaps this Ebay idiot must known that if he sells this as kit built and it does go wrong then he can supply you with the relevant spare parts otherwise he is committing a trade description offence. If he has personally built that together by himself them can claim it as kit built, if it was made somewhere else then it is not kit built more likely merely a re-paint loco. (I did ask my neighbour who is a lawyer and he is breaking the law by false descriptions)

Train Has two motored carriages at each end however both need replacing and also I recommend that a motor is placed in each carriage as the train sometimes struggled with the weight. Also a couple of the carriages were attempted at being repainted hence one is silver. Please be aware that all carriage could do with a repaint. If not the train would look excellent in a siding on your layout. ….so that’s all excellent then?
