EBay madness

In truth, what did we expect from a man with an absurdly large American car collection to support? See bottom of this page

(omis)

Remember: know your enemy :jester:

I thought American cars only came in "absurdly large!"  :jester:

(The Mondeo was described as "Dinky" over there....)

EDIT removed picture - once is quite enough!

Then there's this bargain

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ELECTROTREN-50-EKO-SPAIN-10-CAR-PACK-MORRIS-MINI-VOLVO-FIAT-SEAT-1-87-HO-SCALE-m-/331013992019

EKO vehicles can best be described as crude, but were quite cheap,

The Electrotren packet states "wagon loads" - presumably as scrap?

Info if anyone is interested

Is that really Gosturde, are you sure.?

Keith.

His real name is Greg Diffen, and he's a big noise in the UK Studebaker Club. Click the link I posted above and scroll to the bottom of the Club page. He's got something like eight or nine cars in his collection and I'm betting a fair bit of it is subsidised by his notorious eBay prices....

I never thought that putting my Lima 9006 up on the 'bay would be worth the effort. Now I can see where I've been missing a trick. Simply stick the wrong nameplate on (taking care to botch the job), paint the undercarriage green and *boom* suddenly it's worth £35!

I like this sales pitch -  'The Royal Fusiliers sticker has been stuck on by previous owner and some of the undercarraige painted.'

It is as if the seller won't put his/her name to their own efforts... :nono:

Just a bit of whimsy and prob no worse than some things on here.  He has a few other 'vintage style' bits and bobs.  Not sure I recognise any 1915 locos from the description and the pic......

I like this bit :

Time to complete:

One person, approximately 72 hours.

WOW!  somebody is actually honest on the web!

Seriously though surely it would not take that long to make a cardboard kit???

Makes you wonder at the sanity of the person that would even think of putting them on their car!

Oh I don't know, I know a couple of women drivers who live in a perpetual fluffy, kitten infested world of loveliness (in their own minds of course) who would find a set of flower themed alloys a must have accessory to fit to their fairymobiles.

There are always some for whom the real world simply doesn't exist.

Lost for words to describe this one... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hornby-GWR-CLASS-0-6-0-00-GAUGE-OPEN-CAB-No-2744-CAB-CONVERSION-/261388655161?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item3cdbfa5a39

But we are assured that "IT HAS BEEN CARED FOR OVER THE YEARS BY BEING SERVICED REGULARLY USING THE FINEST LUBRICANTS".

The photos illustrating his other items for sale are a little unusual too.

You get this rather worrying feeling that the further down the page you scroll, the cheesier the photos will get. But she does have rather a lot of skirts......

Seems to be "stocking" up on helicopters.

Would these, errm, "lubricants" carry the letters "K" and "Y" on the packaging?

When I was working I used to buy tubes of that for use when doing ultrasonic weld tests.

Cheaper than the official product and any left over could always be used at home. :jester:

He's got this Beginners Pack amongst those other items.  They were never like that when I were a lad

These must be classic examples of the old joke about a tankful of fuel in an American car being enough to reach the next petrol station!
