RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted August 20, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 20, 2014 I feel strange, I feel like buying something Southern... Must get to the phone, call the emergency number, must must must ...... Hello, helpline, how can we help? Is it just a minor hit of T9 or the full Monty Spamcan experience that's required? We find the N Class popular with recent converts - it's almost GWR. Or, shush, don't tell any other helpline users, we do have a small supply of Q1s but, be warned, they are quite hardcore and you may not be ready for that yet....

RMweb Premium Mallard60022 Posted August 21, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Today's competition. Spot the difference (not including numbers.) please respect Mac's copyright once again. Saffron Bun to the person with the highest score. Usual guff about Too Many Spams and anyone with a weak constitution (that is, Americans) being banned from taking part. However Too Many Spams can mark the papers and have a pasty if he behaves himself. Invigilator: Edited August 21, 2014 by Mallard60022

cary hill
Saturday appears to be out, as Cary Hill has to revise his plans for visiting RMWeb Live on Saturday 13th September: Sky Blue Sam, the Coventry City Elephant Mascot, boisterously celebrates his return to the Ricoh Arena in the Trampolining Skills zone of RMWeb Live. Will Sunday be a better day to meet the Finchings? Edited August 21, 2014 by cary hill

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted August 21, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 21, 2014 What are these funny square green things that look a bit like coaches which appear at the head of some trains in pics on this page? Are they an early form of diseasal or maybe engines which are too shy to show their working parts? (PS but the colours were nice & bright - sort of thing which appeals to the youngsters I would imagine )
RMweb Premium 2ManySpams Posted August 21, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 21, 2014 Inferior locomotives like those meat can things should have been cut up and used to make sewing machines. I can tell your starting to soften and like them just a bit...go on, admit it.

RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted August 21, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 21, 2014 Mike, please refer to my reply to SS ;-p Well at least they're painted in the proper shade of green (under the filth). Now that's an odd thing about spamcans as that clever Mr Bulleid (BTW a man I greatly admire) gave his engines a sort of coach profile body so they would be easier to keep clean, yet almost everyone I ever saw was downright filthy; I remember joining a train hauled by one at Tavistock North on one occasion and the only number you could read was the plate on the smokebox, everything else was under a thick layer of muck.

RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted August 21, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 21, 2014 31843 is the standard Bachmann model with added weathering.Just look at that red rusty smokebox.Chris has evidence of it looking like it.
RMweb Gold gwrrob Posted August 21, 2014 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) A final few of this N class although there is another coming shortly.Don't groan, embrace.Something GWR will be appearing later. Incidently on his thread tonight, Tony Wright has posted some layout photos with locos in both post war liveried GWR and Southern. If it's good enough for him....
