Merry Christmas Phil, and indeed to all the contributors , sane and otherwise, who populate these merry pages.

And in that spirit, referring to our earlier conversation about omnibuses,  I have composed one of my Odd Odes

A modeller known as the Duck

found himself down on his luck

Yet despite many cusses

at the lack of good buses

He settled instead for a truck

"You can't put good people on trucks"

Shouted Blakey, down under near Dux

Your trainset you'll wreck-a

for lack of Lodekka

and you'll end up shouting 'Oh ...bother'

But hope is not lost I do think

For amidst many acres of ink

I don't want to alarm anyone, but it could be a Happy New Year if current progress in the shed keeps up.  Something quite promisingly atmospheric is beginning to take shape...

I wouldn't worry too much about the rolling stock at the moment, some slightly more BR(W) stuff is also on hand.

Let's hope I've not jinxed it!

What are those alien worms doing rearing up in front of that Pannier Tank?

Wrong Cyril, the song was about Cyril Knowles, the Tottenham striker of the early 70s.

Nice one.

Come on you Spurs!

My original allusion was to the original creator of the Odd Odes, Cyril Fletcher, but I suppose you lot are all too young to remember that.
