Why is that any RMWeb thread on a CERTAIN TOPIC always ends up with the same three or four indivisduals having an endless pointless (geddit) slanging match?

Whatever happened to Leon Trotsky.

What did they call the Pre-Grouping Era in the Pre-Grouping Era?

Catalan independence is a political topic and therefore "off limits" according to the forum guidelines. Those of us who have friends and family in Spain will understand that this is an extremely sensitive and divisive issue. You may feel soldarity with the Catalan independence movement but a modelling forum is not the place to express that solidarity.

Uh-oh - it's Elaine Page on Sunday. Time to turn off the radio and get out of the modelling room for a couple of hours...

Local Focus is going out of business - bad news for the employees (who are being kept in the dark) and if it shuts, rather than being taken over by Wickes or B&Q, it'll mean a much longer drive for wood, paint etc.

Focus sold Wickes to TP some years ago. Now TP has bought 13 Focus to turn into Wickes. B&Q are supposed to have bought some - people are cherry picking - as TP exec says here http://www.dailymail.co.uk/money/article-1387948/Wickes-owner-Travis-Perkins-buys-Focus-DIY-chain-administrators.html

First sighting of a red kite right over our house. They've been encroaching into South Wales from Brecon for some while but not yet seen one right over head - until now!

Anyone noticed that George Warleggan's bank in Poldark is Wells Town Hall, as featured in Railwells?

That thing where you've got a tiny, fiddly, irreplaceable bit of model between tweezers and think "I really must not drop this on the floor, or I'll never find it again" - and then drop it on the floor.

Finally caved in and ordered the lighting kit and photo-etched add-ons for the Polar Lights 1/350th Starship Enterprise kit. It's a monster!

I'm going to leave old Durham town ... and then pop back a bit later.

I must be one of the top RMwebbers as my name's always first on the list of who's online.

Decided it was time to retire the pair of running shoes I bought in May 2000 with a final valedictory run last night. And they sat we modellers never throw anything away.

I've come back from the Netherlands with something long, yellow and electric.

Guitar homework and burnt fingers from soldering do not go together.

Terrific! While drillinga new hole in my control panel for a toggle switch, with the power drill, I managed to snag the end of the drill on the existing wiring behind the panel - result, instant spahetti bolognese, wires ripped out of switches etc! Why do I never learn?

A scrote has nicked stuff from our neighbour's garden... and now we've noticed stuff missing from ours. Makes me think a garden railway may not be such a great idea after all.

Trying to make sense of the "instructions" for a "kit". Sub-literate, sub-grammatical, borderline comprehensible at best ... and steadfastly not telling us anything we couldn't have worked out for ourselves, yet at the same time not telling us crucial stuff! Grr!

Radcliffe and Maconie show moving to BBC6 - bah!

How many charity shops does one town need?
