EBay madness

I intend no disrespect to the 4mm tinplate fraternity when I say that I think this is a bit silly!

Very good.

What would be the cost of paying by Postal Order! He accepts those as a form of payment.

Will post world wide but not to Asia or South Africa. That narrows it down a bit.

Would have thought that for nigh on a grand he would offer free postage.

If they are not the real thing why a repo box?

At least they won't rust like the originals..........nor will the bogie sideframes.....but then there aren't any!

The price may be reasonable enough, but I do love the desperate sales pitch... "would be found on any line at nearly any time in the modelled steam era. Whatever your layout, this hard-working loco will fit right in". I hope the owners of all those ECML based layouts are watching the auction closely!

One boxed and unique Heljan 47 could be yours for £49 here

Sadly not unique as I know at least one other person who has one in the same condition.

I should sell the two versions I have in a similar state. £49 is looking a bit of a bargain, it's just sold for £78 with £14 postage :O

It's £12 now so looks like a typo

Sold for £10! I note the seller says he has 8 of them. That would be 8 more than the GWR had! :D

(There's a slight similarity to a thirties' diagram, but nothing like this existed in 1880 - 1906. - to be pedantic (as usual) the livery is actually early 1900s and should have black beading and brown ends and the coach is a third not a composite however it's marked)

I know the Lima Strathclyde 101s were rare but £500  :

I do love the deceptive advertising as well :

This class 101 model variant has not been offered for sale on ebay for many years, the last example finishing at £360 back in 2006. It could be a long time before another becomes available.

He didn't notice this one that I thought was overpriced at £199 then? : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LIMA-CL-101-691-STRATHCLYDE-SCOTRAIL-LIVERY-LTD-ED-NEW-/190504417162?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item2c5af2b78a
