I was hoping so! I can only just remember the blue sodium lights in the Coventry suburbs, much nicer light, those yellow things just seemed to make the fogs worse

I prefer the warm orange of the sodium lights, so cozy.   Better than the glaring LED lights of today, which seem to be a step back to the mercury vapour streetlighting...

And at that I am a disciple of the Armies Of Darkness... Um, I mean the Great Western...

There's no problem with that, the GWR did briefly own a couple of Terriers, when they took over the WC&P...  :scared:

"OO gauge original Purspex"?

I think this is actually N-gauge and plastic, wth metal wheels.

The giveaways are the clunky N gauge couplers and the even clunkier wheels which, if scaled up to OO/HO even Lima wouldn't touch with a bargepole!

Looking at the offering again, perhaps the "Purspex" refers to the box the van is supplied in?

Wrenn N Gauge Micromodels.

There is a photo of the logo in the listing...photo 2...

These are Lima made models marketed by Wrenn.

Yes, Perspex, despite spelling, must refer to the hard transparent plastic box.

Reserved for repaint of the year?

I mean. It's good to know it's painted with paint, I was starting to wonder...

27 pence more like.

BUT.

I like it. It makes my toilet brush paint jobs look good.

Not pricey but more a question of why bother, especially with a fuzzy picture?

Of course if you do desperately need a rusty probably broken unknown gear fitted wheel set that may be N but who knows then fill your boots....

One would have thought providing would-be bidders with a clear, sharp photo would be achievable in this digital day and age?

Bunging it on a piece of track that isn't even the right gauge doesn't exactly help either....

Oh, looks like the same seller has another one, this time to wide for the piece of track it is sitting on...

I always find it best to use paint when I’m painting although I prefer to use a brush or an airbrush rather than, as the seller prefers, a trowel.

Good to know that the lumpy bumpy paint and wheels don’t affect anything...

Speaking of paint, I see that the seller has this for sale:-

Humbrol Matt White

A bit used and an ill-fitting lid secured with a bit of superglue - all for £6.90.  It may be a bit lumpy, I fear.

They also have a “rarely used” calculator for sale, which figures...

Cheers

A 'rarely used' calculator? Perhaps it doesn't add up properly?

One of those sellers who sells a model one piece at a time?

It appears to have a hole in one window as well!

I think that's just the air conditioning...but it wont affect anything!

Surprised no-one's noticed it's a Mk1 yet too, with extremely tall doors
