OK, We could have Campbell's Soup for starters then for the main meal Oxo gravy and Saxa salt to season the New Zealand Canterbury Lamb, or if you prefer something frozen from Birds Eye, with Geest bananas and Lyons Maid Ice Cream for dessert, finally a few Peak Freans biscuits spread with Golden Shred marmalade, then adjourn to the pub for Watneys beer and KP Nuts. 1 2 7

There was a time when rural signal boxes didn't have running water, and one of the signlamen's weekly chores was to wander off and empty the Elsan bucket somewhere down the line. Does that count as rail transport?

MrWolf
Looking at the pictures taken underneath the coaches I saw a pair of the bogies fitted with a steel fold up inside frame and cosmetic sides. I have a couple of those which came in a box of bits a friend gave me. Any idea what make they are?

This actually happened after a fire put the bakery in a scottish town out of action for a few months. The only way to transport fresh bread from the next town was by rail, and two full brakes were hastily converted to carry bread trays. They were the two that happened to be in the works at the time, one of them was ex Great North of Scotland Railway.

I think it was mentioned on a programme about Clyde Sunday pleasure steamers, that turns up occasionally on the digital channels. A good thing that there isn't a Hornby (or Triang, for that matter) "Honey" tanker... 3
