Sexist, racist or religious jokes aren't funny - keep them to yourself!

I have noticed that when I click on "content that I follow", I get a distinct feeling of well-being when I see the new entries in the  Jokes thread pop up.  Yes, I enjoy the other threads I follow: Duchesses, Princesses, Class 87s, but the jokes thread seems to be so unifying.  Am I nuts?

Well, then I guess I'm nuts too.  The first thread I check out when I log on is this one.  Even if the jokes are repeats, they still make me smile, or even laugh! (Heck, even the "groaners" can be fun.)

Silly typo - I meant to type "thread" but typed "threat" lol

Okay, I have to ask.  We call it "The American Revolution" or "The War for Independence."  Do y'all ever call it "The War of Good Riddance"?

Some of us do. The 4th of July is when we go down the pub to celebrate getting rid of those troublesome colonies.

A meter is device used to measure things. A centimeter would be one hundredth of a device;  so about one transistor....

Surely, a centimeter would be a device for measuring centis, wouldn't it.  I'll just check the facts in Centipedia...

In some episodes of Thunderbirds, Parker is indeed referred to as 'Nosey' (usually by past acquaintances from his previous life as a safecracker).

HI RJS,

My only Thundersbirds Joke is,

Parker, take off my shoes.

Yes m'lady.

Parker, take off my dress.

Yes m'lady.

Parker, take off my bra.

Yes m'lady.

Parker, take off my knickers.

Yes m'lady.

Oh, and Parker, should I catch you wearing my clothes again....................

Gibbo.

If you use Centipedia to find out about centis and how to measure them with a centimeter, does a wikimeter measure wikis, and more importantly, how does it do it?

Two observations about the 4th of July.

1. Every other date in the US calendar is month then day - why is this one this way round?

2. On 4th July I go to the pub and celebrate another lap around the Sun :)

I suppose in time Europeans will celebrate 31st January for the same reason. ;)

1.  Celebration of an attempt to move on from a Medieval British culture, the rest of the year celebrates the failure of the attempt.....

NB. Presumably your, 4th July, celebration of another lap around the Sun is followed on the 5th of July, by a similar visit to the pub to celebrate the next day's lap around the Sun.

Some a$$hole has my pen!

No problem, just check the ink colour on the patients records, at the end of the beds.   :bo_mini:

In my case we go to the pub to celebrate Tynwald Day (my partner was brought up on the IoM).

You can certainly use a Wikimeter to check if your Wikis are leaking; obviously if you measure it at a set time and then measure again a set time later and there are less Wikis, you have a leak, or pilferage, as Wikis cannot evaporate.  But a Wikigauge would be just as effective...
