I am reminded of the Martin Clunes Reggie Perrin series - 'I am almost physically excited!'

My favorite is the comment by Cat in Red Dwarf.....    "Man I'm so excited, all six of my nipples are tingling"

fantastic--much excitement!

Really looking forward to hearing what you think of them!

Victories will be occurring around the country in a limited way over the weekend before the brunt of the shipment begins next week.

Rails have theirs now, so if you pre-ordered from them you also shouldn't have long to wait.

A nice early knock on the door and my pair, Lined Red and IWD Grey, arrived. Sadly only time to open them and have a quick look but everyone that's ordered one is in for a treat. They are fantastic livery application is spot on, the IWD No. 12, is absolutely stunning! Thanks Planet Industrial! I now have a model of an engine that ran less than a mile from my house at a colliery!

Quick update. Test run both and they seem geared excellently, slow running from the box is superb. A quite brilliant debut rtr model from the team in my opinion.

These do look very good and delivered in what these days is a very short time. I have just gone back to the beginning of this thread and found my original query regarding 666 and 667 in BR days. Once the dust has settled I look forward to hearing the work on the conversion kit is under way, as the model looks very, very good!

Cheers from Oz,

Peter C.

Now I will admit to knowing and being a customer of James & Stephen’s for some time before they went professional and being an encourager of their temptations.

But this is truly a ‘Victory’! 😁

They do run very nicely indeed with only the faintest noise in reverse which I’m sure will bed in even more nicely with running in. They feel chunky, solid and beautifully detailed with the accessories supplied too to personalise the loco.

Very very pleased and an assured first rtr effort 👍

So are there any flaws? . . .

There I found a floor! 😉

Well done chaps now to try and emulate James’ weathering etc which I just fancied having a crack at and oh boy I think I may need to add sound!!

I am trying to keep my excitement at receiving my maroon Victory in check, especially as I recently ordered some etched nameplates to go with it…

Am left wondering if despatch will put one and one together and ship both together?

I felt such a majestic locomotive should have a name to match - I chose “Lillibet” in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

HOURS OF FUN!

They do look good, does make me wish I had ordered myself a second example to go alongside the maroon example!
Although I will say the maroon looks more red than maroon it still looks decent. Excitement levels are on the way up I think.

Gorgeous. The lining on the green version is exquisite.

Indeed - and I have a livery-matched Janus ready to be its stable-mate.

For anyone else wishing to follow suit, Planet Industrials advised me as follows :-

PI-001-C
Body colour - RAL 6010
Lining - RAL 1001

That appears to be the case from Paul's photos.

Same with the photos on the RoS site, not a problem by any means, brighter colours do look good so it’s a decent colour (and probably better for industrial purposes)

We're going to post the results of our recent Victory photoshoot daily this week, starting with...

PI-001-A Plain black

Although fairly plain in appearance, the unadorned black finish is typical for an industrial locos and also acts as a great base for your own custom livery. It also looks fantastic weathered down to represent a loco worked hard at a colliery or other industrial setting.

Available NOW for £130 from Light Railway Stores and Rails of Sheffield.
