Problem for me is I cannot get that paint over here (Canada) doubt I would have the skill to do it anyway

Can you get Humbrol? Their gloss maroon #20 is a good match.

Cheers,

Mick

£134.95 for two mark 1 coaches, am i missing something here?.

Hmmm This helps explain why they did not release the entire charter train in one release. I was sitting thinking "a charter train with just 2 coaches.... Why 2? No one wants such a train with just 2 coaches.... 3 or 4 maybe, but 2?"

Ive been waiting for an excuse to join the Collectors Club again (last time was 2008? or was it 09 for 66550 'Ruby'!), seeing as I have spotted new West Coast Railways Mk1s on eBay, I shall be joining in the morning and ordering 37706 :) (Bargain when you note a previous MR Ltd 37248 now goes for £160-230 on eBay!)

It's in line with the autocoaches pricing and not far adrift from what they are indicating for new tooled other coaches. Clearly they think people will pay and I don't blame them for trying to get a bit of a premium for a unique product.

Also the train pack is £240, double that you have a 4 coach Pullman pack with two power units. Would be £480, compare that to the Blue Pullman pack and its pricing. Of the same order...

The latest edition of the Bachmann Times, the magazine of the Bachmann Collectors Club, contains details of two new limited edition club models for sale to members:

32-390K – OO Scale Class 37 No. 37706 in West Coast Railways Maroon livery at £129.95.

39-002K.RGB (1280x261).jpg

If purchased together they cost £240, a saving of almost £25 over the individual prices.

The models carry the livery of Carnforth based independent Train Operating Company West Coast Railways who specialise in charter trains which use both steam and diesel traction. Locomotive No. 37706 was purchased by West Coast Railways in 2008. The Mark 1 Pullman coaches were built in 1961 initially for use on the East Coast main line Pullman services operating to and from London Kings Cross. West Coast Railways operate the two Parlour Second vehicles featured in the twin pack Nos. 99347 and 99352 which both carry the distinctive West Coast Railways livery.

Those wishing to purchase the models but are not current Bachmann Collectors Club members can join for £29 for the next 12 months for which they will receive a membership card and badge, 2017 Calendar in December, 2017/18 Bachmann Branchline Catalogue on publication early next year and an exclusive membership wagon plus the next four copies of Bachmann Times magazine (published quarterly).

For further information, please contact the Bachmann Collectors Club on 01455 841756 or visit the club website at www.Bachmann-collectorsclub.co.uk

Nit picking yes, but 37706 was operating with EWS until late 2004, heading to Carnforth in early 2008.

On 26 June 2010, I remember travelling on the return leg of a WCRC special which was topped and tailed by 37706 and 47826 to York which that same morning brought 46115 Scots Guardsman down south.

Could a WCRC-liveried class 47 be a future release?

That'll probably depend on how this release sells....

Early this morning, whilst still in bed deeply engrossed in the latest issue of "Southern Way", was rather surprised by the arrival of a FedEx guy delivering the loco and coach pack that I had only ordered at 23.37 on Wednesday evening...... and its only Friday today!!

Still waiting, though, for the arrival of my copy of the latest issue of "Bachmann Times" so must thank those who posted the details of the package on here.

My Bachmann Times arrived this morning, but no sign of a package, ordered at 17.55 on Wednesday, but the day is young!

Became a member and bought the loco + coaches pack this morning. Megan (at Bachmann) was very helpful in helping set up as I had payment issues – this was due to higher traffic than usual on the website.

Looking forward to receiving these! It's typical that I had both WCRC 37s by ViTrains and decided to keep 37706 and sell 37712!
